MAKING PATIENTS FEEL AT HOME
THERE WAS A NEED TO
OFFER A SERIES OF MULTIMEDIA SERVICES THAT HOSPITALS WEREN'T
PROVIDING.
A few years ago, when this project started up, we visited quite a few
hospitals and saw that their hospital room infrastructure was pretty
primitive: one TV set, one volume control, and just a few channels was all
patients could expect. On the other hand, interviews showed they
wanted to
feel more at home, especially in the sense of disconnecting
from drab
hospital atmospheres, and expressed a need to have more multimedia services
that hospitals weren't providing.
AN UNLIMITED PLATFORM
So we came up with Medip, a radio and television menu à la carte, with IP telephone, videoconference, email, news, ebooks, videoclub, games, Internet, hospital menu selection, therapeutic videos and more... Why accept any limits? The limits are only the boundaries of your imagination.
LEISURE AND QUALITY OF LIFE
Providing all these services was not just a question of filling leisure time... we were talking about a dramatic increase in the quality of living. Medip minimises the impact of patient hospitalisation and technological isolation. And that definitely helps them to recover sooner.
THE POSSIBILITIES ARE INFINITE WITH MEDIP. THAT'S THE FUTURE.
Where are the limits? The boundaries of your imagination only.Articulated bedside touchscreen
There are 2 basic elements in the Medip system: an articulated, hydraulic arm measuring some 2 metres in length supporting an 8” x 18” touchscreen.
Television and radio
Depending on their nationality, age and language of choice, patient devices offer pre-established TV and radio programmes.
Surfing the net
Touchscreens are the most intuitive way to browse the net.
À la carte cinema
Just like home TVs, patients can enjoy hundreds of films in the language of their choice.
Video calls
No other device helps to break the isolation of being in hospital more than this one.
Hospital services
Each hospital can programme an infinity of additional services for their patients.
